It's gotta tick off any talented band to have some bloggin' butthole say their music reminds them of Coldplay. ... Mr. "Walter Alias" I do apologize, but remember, taste is nothing more than our mind's ability to recognize and categorize the senses.

Who is Walter Alias? A little know band from Kansas City worth discussing on this blog with the utmost snobbery.
They recently dropped their first CD ... "Examples of the Cataclysmic". Otherwise, you can catch them from time to time in Kansas City and the Midwest.
Walter Alias is another example of a local act delivered from the womb of myspace. http://www.myspace.com/walteralias
Blah, Blah Arctic Monkeys -- myspace's poster child for its "lil band that could ... makes good" -- Read about Arctic Monkeys here. That's not the story here.
Walter Alias are mere toddlers in comparison ... but they have a great sound if you like any U2. Exxplosive, etc.
First, I suggest you play W.A. loud. The beginning 30 seconds of Walter Alias' "Examples of the Cataclysmic" and "Touch and Go" will have you saying either "What I HAVE TO HEAR MORE!" or "THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST SHT I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME."

The vocals have a brash, British sensibility that's an easy target for Coldplay comparisons. You can almost smell the fish-n-chips in their voice, but the thing is, theses boys are from the Midwest as far as I can tell. Their songs have all the qualities to be commercial radio masterpieces. The hooks are catchy both on piano and vocals, but easy to forget and enjoy again. The tunes are well structured with potent drums. Some call it My Chemical Romance meets the killers but without the Drag Queen undertones or depressed emo sound.
MuzicSnob will be keeping a close eye on Mr. "Walter Alias," if that is your REAL name.
These guys are from branson MISSOURI by the way! wow. Leave that OUT of the press release!
Here's a cute u-tube vid of a kid rocking out to Walter Alias.
